Small Print 11th February 2025 Small PrintProposed Policy – A policy that has been sent out to members via questionnaire for consideration and formulation.Or a policy which has not received 80% support from the members,Provisional Policy – A policy that has received 80% support from the members but has not been ratified by our annual conference.Policy – A Transform policy that has received 80% support from our members at our annual conference. 1, Transform policy is regulated by our Constitution which is shown below. A Transform policy can only become policy after it has been ratify at our annual Conference (see point ii.) of the constitution)But before it can be ratify it has to go through a number of steps. To meet point i.) of the constitution a proposed policy will be sent to all members via questionnaire for consideration and formulation. The members can either support the proposed policy, reject it or offer an amendment.If a proposed policy does not receive 80% support then it will either go to the Policy working group, will be subject to an amendment/change or rejected as a proposed policy. The amended policy will then be resent out to Transform members.If the proposed policy receives 80% support it then becomes a provisional policy and uploaded to the members only section of the website to allow members to articulate a particular position on a topic as shown by point iv.) of the constitution.The provisional policy will then be part of Transform next annual conference.Once the provisional policy is ratified by 80% support at Transform Conference then it becomes policy. These policies will be considered into being included in our General Election Manifesto. (see point iii.)Policy as defined by the Constitutioni.) At all levels the Party will ensure that members, elected representatives, any affiliated organisations and, where practicable, the wider community are able to contribute to the process of policy consideration and formulation. ii.) The Party’s policies are decided by an annual membership conference and these comprise our detailed positions. The annual membership conference is the sovereign body of the party. iii.) The Executive Committee (EC) shall propose which items from the Party programme shall be included in any General Election manifesto, and will issue that manifesto to the Transform Council (TC) for final ratification. iv.) Members may organise in platforms of like-minded members within the party, to articulate a particular position, but they must work publicly within the policy framework agreed by the Party Conference and Transform Council.
